Become a paramedic instructor or an EMT instructor and be placed on the PHECC Tutor Framework. There is NO phecc recognised tutor qualifying course, however,
Emergency Services Training Institute in conjunction with NUI Maynooth have launched this course which, upon successful completion, will allow candidates to be recommended by our training institution for full TUTOR status AND a HETAC level 7 Ordinary Degree in adult education and training. This course meets all the requirements of the PHECC Education and Training standards 2011 for tutor qualification. Course duration, details and cost can be obtained from info@esti.ie book early as vacancies are limited to 16 per class. This course allows you to teach at your level of pre-hospital care and at all levels below. For example, a paramedic finishing this course can teach paramedics, EMT’s and EFR’s as a full tutor.
Emergency Services Training Institute has successfully put students from this course forward for tutor recognition with phecc. Doing this course with ESTI allows you to complete the supervised teaching requirements onsite with our practitioner level courses. NO other phecc recognised institute awards the HETAC level 7 qualification on the National Framework with their phecc tutor qualification. Some institutes don’t provide their students with supervised teaching placements either. ESTI run the best EMSTQ course on the market today, be careful of imitation courses which will NOT allow tutor qualification.
You must be an EMT or Paramedic on the phecc register for a minimum of 3 years to enroll on this course.
You must complete the 4 NUI Maynooth 1day workshops AND the 1 day ESTI workshop to go forward for the supervised teaching.
You must complete 8 weeks supervised teaching to become an assistant tutor or 16 weeks supervised teaching to become a full tutor
Please complete and return the course registration form below with a €400 deposit.
Beware of other courses that will not get you the qualification you want.
