Emergency First Response (EFR) First Person On Scene training.
This 40 hour fully certified course teaches, emergency childbirth, oropharyngeal airways, O2 administration, vacuum splints, collars, spinal boards, helmet removal, medications and all the basic life support skills for victims of stroke; cardiac arrest; heart attack; choking; legal issues and the administration of Aspirin.
EFR is a great stand-alone course for persons operating in a first responder role who require more than the more basic Occupational First Aid, EFR is the national standard of first aid training for Fire Brigades in Ireland. EFR is a good stepping stone for those planning to pursue a career in emergency care as Fire Fighter or as an Emergency Medical Technicain (EMT) or Paramedic.
You must have a valid, in-date, Cardiac First Response (CFR) OR Occupational First Aid (OFA) certification prior to commencing this course.
